Do not taunt Happy Fun Ball

If you get a chance and are technically minded, check out Digigami, the source for a newly-released MPEG-2 Encoder called MegaPEG HDTV. This thing is pretty damned good, giving me lower bitrates and higher quality than anything else I have tried, at least for MPEG-2.
