Recompressed 400MB H.264 720p into 155-175MB MPEG-1 VBR 720p
The other day I stumbled across a
400MB Podcast in 720p H.264. That's a pretty big file. I had a hunch MegaPEG could recompress it into something more manageable. I did approximately 7 passes, fine tuned each one. The first pass, using the built-in preset for 720p ended up around 155MB. I did some tweaking to get the quality more to my liking and ended up with 172MB.
For independents who pay for bandwidth, that is a __big___ difference. Digigami MPEG-1. It's all that.
