I wasn't sure if a letterboxed darkened room would impress anyone, although I'd never seen MPEG-1 CIF at these rates before we started making them. In any event, I've posted a handheld camcorder piece which I shot in bright daylight (outside the backdoor of the former MemphisBros recording studio in Solana Beach, CA, RIP), on a textured background, with some jerky camera moves and some zooms.

This extra difficulty adds about 140 kbps to the bitstream. Again, 64kbps audio (sounds pretty good!).

Total stream rate approx 320 kbps (0.320 Mbs).

I'm almost done proving the www point, so we'll be moving on to Half-D1 DVD soon.
